What People's Say About Place

My wife and I stopped by Maki Toki during their Angry Hour special. The Angry Hour pricing is fantastic, but what really stood out was that the quality didn’t feel discounted at all. Everything we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful—from the sushi rolls to the hot dishes. The portions were generous, and the presentation was spot on. Between the great food, excellent service, and very reasonable Angry Hour prices, Maki Toki is an easy recommendation. Whether you’re stopping in for happy hour or a full meal, this place delivers real value without cutting corners. We’ll definitely be back.

Maki Toki is truly one of the best sushi spots in Austin. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, modern, and welcoming. The quality of the sushi is outstanding—exceptionally fresh fish, perfectly balanced flavors, and beautiful presentation in every roll. You can tell that great care and expertise go into every dish. The menu offers a great variety, from classic rolls to creative signature options, all executed at a very high level. The staff is professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive, which makes the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Service is efficient, and the restaurant is always clean and well organized. Whether you are a sushi lover or trying sushi for the first time, Maki Toki is a must-visit. Consistently excellent food, great service.

Always love coming to Maki Toki! They always have the best sushi, drinks and service! The food always comes out fresh and hot and the margaritas are amazing. The atmosphere is great every time I come here and the service is always amazing. Truly the best family owned restaurant!

Maki Toki has been a staple in our lives! We come here to celebrate life achievements, date nights, and love to come here for saki bombs with our friends. It’s family owned and ran, and they’re an absolute delight! The food is great, me not being a big seafood person I usually get the bento box! But my husband LOVES the Jake roll (as seen in photo). Don’t miss out on Maki Toki!

Great late night spot for sushi! Super sweet staff and the service was great! Everything was tasty, rolls were not falling apart, and any extra additions I asked for like sauce or topping was encouraged! If you like AYCE this is a great spot

AMAZING Valentine’s experience! We went out to an early dinner with our toddler. The service was wonderful. They helped us choose an allergen and child friendly option for our son. He loved it! Our food was delicious and affordable (especially at happy hour prices). At the end of dinner they surprised us with a free slice of red velvet cake to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Wonderful experience! We will be back.

Excellent service. This sushi restaurant has a easy going vibe. The food is served fresh. It was easy to find. Prices are reasonable considering the amount of food you get. They have a great happy hour called Angry Hour.

Excellent family-owned sushi spot near The Domain. You can really tell the mom behind the sushi counter has great talent — fresh fish, perfectly balanced rice, and very well-made rolls. The happy hour has genuinely great deals and makes this one of the best values around. I was truly satisfied and am already planning to come back.
